  • What makes BVIS different from other international schools?
    At BVIS, we are very proud to be a one-of-a-kind school, offering the English National Curriculum, delivering the same teaching approach in both English and Vietnamese during the Foundations stage and Primary years. In the secondary stage, students are required to receive 80% to 93% of their instruction in English, with most subjects are taught in English while Vietnamese Literature remains a priority.  
  • Will my child be able to follow the curriculum if we enroll halfway through the year?

    Yes, absolutely. At BVIS, we provide a personalised learning experience throughout the academic journey to help students integrate into the community as quickly as possible, even when enrolling mid-year. 

    Before starting school, students will take an entrance assessment to help us understand their current abilities and determine the most suitable support methods. Our experienced teachers will develop a personalised plan, including supplementary classes if needed 

    Additionally, BVIS’s friendly learning environment ensures that students can quickly adapt and keep pace with the curriculum. 

  • Will my child who is studying in a Vietnamese school without any English be accepted?
    Their placement will depend on their age, test results, and school reports. Older children are expected to have higher levels of English because of the curriculum we follow. Our excellent English support team can help your child if they experience initial difficulties. We aim for every student to thrive and succeed, no matter their background or experience. 
  • Does the school follow the British or Vietnamese curriculum?
    BVIS HCMC is a one-of-a-kind school in Vietnam, thanks to our unique ability to teach the National Curriculum of England into two languages that are English and Vietnamese. We use this curriculum as our framework to ensure every student receives an international-style education that maintains a strong Vietnamese perspective.
