庆祝书籍带来的奇妙旅程2024

学生们参加了多种活动，包括每日“放下一切开始阅读 ”，小学和中学的好友阅读活动，学生和老师都穿着他们最喜爱的书中角色的服装。

BSB还举办了图书展，学生可以购买书籍回家阅读，为众爱慈善机构 Roundabout 筹得了善款112,581元，帮助2个血癌小朋友的手术。

The Book Week is one of the favourite weeks of the year for many here at BSB, and you see why! Students and teachers participated in so many fun and exciting activities, all designed to foster a lifelong love and joy of reading.

The Roundabout Book Fair at BSB

One of the highlights was the popular Roundabout Book Fair at BSB! Students were able to buy books to read, share their enjoyment with classmates, and contribute to charity at the same time!

Roundabout is pleased to announce that 112,581 RMB was raised from our Book Fair! All proceeds will go towards supporting the surgery of the two children Tongtong and Hao Ran who has leukemia.

Thank you to all who have supported the book fair including our parent volunteers, those who have donated books and bought books! Together we can truly make a difference!

Guest Readers

Primary classes were excited to have guest readers come and read an exciting story to them. Thank You Mrs. Needham, Ms. Abigail, Ms. Brown, Ms. Debs, Mr. Bevan, Ms. Dunhill, Mr. Reynolds to name a few,

Reading Buddies

Thank you for the English department for organising the wonderful opportunities for Secondary students to read stories to some of our Primary students.

Drop Everything And Read (DEAR)

At these times, the students will pause their normal class routine, take out a book, and spend time reading.

Door Design Book Covers

We saw some very creative works decorating doors as book covers. This is a fantastic opportunity for collaborative creativity.

Author Visit and Creative Writing Workshop

Renowned author Keith Gray conducted a captivating creative writing workshop and presentations, sharing his inspiring writing journey with students. The event, held at our school, provided an incredible opportunity for students to explore the world of literature and nurture their own creative voices. Keith Gray's interactive sessions encouraged students to unleash their imagination, develop writing skills, and experiment with different techniques. He shared personal anecdotes, highlighting the challenges he faced and how he overcame them, inspiring students to persevere in their own creative pursuits. The workshop left a lasting impression, igniting a passion for writing and empowering students to pursue it seriously.

Keith Gray's presentations offered a glimpse into the realities of the writing process, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for the craft. The event sparked confidence in students' abilities and a desire to embark on personal writing projects. Keith Gray's expertise and engaging approach set students on a path of self-expression and artistic growth, making the event a meaningful stepping stone for aspiring young writers.

Students and staff were encouraged to come dressed as their favorite book character. Overall we had a very successful and productive week!
