Today, students from all our schools around the world will be participating in a student led global dance competition called Dance Unites, performed in a prestigious location within their School's city.

Launched exclusively to all Nord Anglia Education Schools on 17 September, students have had nine weeks to form a dance troop, choose their music, choreograph an original dance, create their own outfits and select a prestigious location within the city to perform. The Dance Unites competition is in association with the internationally renowned Pineapple Dance Studios, London and brings together 10,000 students from across all the Nord Anglia Education family of schools.

Dance Unites is part of The Global Classroom, which connects all Nord Anglia Education students from around the world, giving them a unique opportunity to be part of a large collaborative, global learning community. The Global Classroom is central to achieving High Performance Learning as students develop essential values, attitudes and attributes including risk taking, creativity, collaboration and perseverance. It provides students with a range of innovative and creative activities to add depth and breadth to their educational experience.

Professor Deborah Eyre, Education Director of Nord Anglia Education, says: "We are delighted to be working with Pineapple Dance Studios on this project and we are all thrilled by the creativity that has been shown by our students. It is one of the benefits of being part of a family of schools that our students from across the world can come together and collaborate on leading edge educational initiatives such as this one. I look forward to selecting a winning dance."

Each Dance Unites performance taking place around the world will be videoed and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 12 December, with the winning school being awarded £1,000. The judging panel will include representatives from Nord Anglia Education (Professor Deborah Eyre, Education Director) and Pineapple Dance Studios (Maria Yacoob, Choreographer and Dance Teacher).
