Playdough Art

Based on the concept of children's learning through play, these exercises will develop the children's fine motor skills and stimulate their creative abilities in the operation.

 

Lego Duplo

Lego Duplo is designed for kids aged from 2 to 5 years old, aiming to let children imagine freely, and prepare for improving other abilities like creativity. It can help improve children's logical ability and understanding of basic mathematical knowledge. It can also help children do things more attentively, and better understand the world.

 

Chinese Writing

We will learn some basic Chinese writing together. Children can learn the beautiful strokes and artistic style of traditional Chinese writing which may cultivate a love of calligraphy.

 

Small World Creations

‘Small World Play’ is a great learning resource that involves both small group and independent play.  It provides children with an opportunity to explore new materials, act out scenarios from real life, build language, practice social skills, and gain an understanding of the world.  Children can also develop their mathematical skills. Concepts such as size, patterns, positions, and sorting are all explored in a fun and engaging way. Come along and explore with real life and make-believe animals, people and places (dragons, dinosaurs, unicorns, fairies and more). Let's use our imaginations to create new mini worlds.

 

Junior Innovators

Junior Innovators is a club which encourages children to think outside the box, to gain knowledge and understanding of concepts, and to build upon these ideas. Lessons will be based on a book and activities will be extensions of the story. For instance, the story read will be, "The Three Little Pigs." In teams the children will be recreating the story and engineering their skills on how to build a house which the wolf cannot blow down. On top of these skills, we will be experimenting with different materials, learn how to handle tools safely, and refining our art skills.

Fun Soccer

This is an active club where children with an interest in soccer or who simply wish to get some exercise can join. In this club we will be playing for enjoyment, building coordination, awareness of space and teamwork. The club is open to boys and girls. You do not need to bring any special equipment but suitable footwear such as worn for PE is advisable.

 

Sensory Stimulus Club

The Sensory Stimulus Club aims to engage children's senses to provide a vehicle for deep relaxation, emotional control, and a break from the sensory overload of the school day. By focusing engagement of a single sense, touch, sound and smell (sight is excluded as this is already a highly stimulated sense), children are able to tune into their bodies, focus on the sensations and find relaxation and calm through these activities. This club is ideal for children who struggle to stay focused during the day, have difficulties expressing themselves or regulating their behaviour, or have a stressful school or home schedule.

 

Make Your Own Story Book

In this club the children will work on sequencing events to make a coherent story. They will design the layout, develop their reading, writing and illustration skills and build confidence in their oral presentation.

 

Rubik's Cube

While Rubik's Cube appears to be a fun game for most, regular use is proven to help develop skills such as concentration, memorizing and logical thinking.

Beginner String Orchestra

This club will run for both Autumn and Spring club seasons. I am going to focus on building a Beginner Strings Orchestra. If you can play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass, then you're welcome to join my club. There are a few limitations to this club. The student's skill level should be at least a little higher than a scale, such as C major scale. This club is not for beginners.  We will play some simple pieces for this club building the student’s ability to perform as part of a collective. Looking forward to seeing you in the club!

 

Street Dancing(Hip Hop Dance)

Teacher Rou Rou has won various street dancing championships and works for Sinostage as a dance instructor. She has been teaching children about the magic of Hip Hop Dancing since 2015. In this dance class, students will learn how to dance in groups, duo and trios in various street and cultural dance styles to be able to produce shows and perform at competitions. As well as physical coordination skills, students will learn leadership, teamwork and how to work with others to achieve a common goal. Origami fun

Origami will help children to develop their hands-on ability. Through origami, their brain also develops and get exercised. Origami is also a good way to cultivate children’s patience and creativity. I believe that children will have a lot of fun in our Origami Club.

 

Chess Club

Chess is a game of strategy and tactics for two players, played on an 8x8 chequered board. It has a history of thousands of years and has been described as the game of kings. As well as being an enjoyable game chess also has many academic benefits such as building problem solving skills, concentration and logical thought. This club is suitable for beginners and those with prior experience.

 

Finger Knitting

Finger Knitting is great to support the brain’s neural pathways development, which in turn improves thinking skills. Knitting also enhances pattern recognition and hand-eye coordination, thereby enhancing fine motor skills and focus. Finger Knitting is for everyone! Besides, it’s uses are legion; from scarves to simple placemats to intricate rugs. The best thing about it is the calm and beauty it brings to our home and community. There is no limit to what you can create.

 

Dramarama Club

Dramarama is a fun and interactive performance-based course designed and created by Elite Education. This course focuses on developing core soft skills such as; self-confidence, self-expression, public speaking and acting.
In every class, students will take part in a range of activities including; improvisation activities, mime, role-pays, script development, and movement games. Participants will practice core theatre skills like; voice projection, facial expressions and body language through developing their own sketches, giving and viewing a range of performances and exploring different character archetypes.
All activities are student led and participants are encouraged to use their own imagination and creativity to explore their theatrical style. Students will work on two short plays throughout the course and a final performance will be held after the last class. LEGO Club

This club will allow LEGO lovers to choose whether to create using their own imagination, or to complete the formal activities set on Global Campus. Each week Ms. Ali will set a task for the children to design and complete a different figure which they may enter in the Global Campus Lego Challenge competition. If any child doesn’t wish to take part in this then they can create their own constructions with their friends.

 

Cross Embroidery

Cross embroidery. Cross embroidery is famous in China. After you spend some time learning to use your fingers, you can create a beautiful craft. Imagine the feeling when you arrive home every day and see a beautiful craft on the wall created by your own hands! Also, you can make a gift for your family or your friends. When doing cross embroidery, you can create many different images. For example, an animal, flower or landscape.

 

Football

ICON were established in 2014 to provide professional sports training to youngsters in Chengdu and beyond. Our coaches will deliver age-appropriate training to ensure that each individual child is able to improve their skill level while learning more about the game itself. The main focuses of the course will be: Increasing technical ability such as dribbling, passing and shooting.
1v1 / 2v2 / 2v1 drills to develop basic attacking and defending principles.
Small sided games to increase tactical and match awareness (possession, combination play, transitions). Team Matches to practice all of the above. National Geographic Documentary Appreciation and Analysis

The National Geographic documentaries are committed to the promotion of exploration and discovery, environmental protection and education. We will introduce the most desolate wild scenery, inaccessible deep-sea worlds, and wildlife reserves in different countries to the audience, and comprehensively open up a new vision of appreciating nature· At the same time, we will inspire the students to understand and interpret their own view of nature through art.

 

Origami

“Origami is not just a form of art, but also gymnastics for your fingers, and meditation for your mind!” You will be learning how to transform flat sheets of paper into lots of 3 Dimensional objects such as a bouquet of beautiful followers with the folding and sculpting techniques. Design Craft

Design Craft is a unique course designed and taught by Elite Education.
The main aim of this course is to introduce young people to the design process and to provide an environment where students can explore their creativity and imagination without limitations. Each class is filled with specific challenges that are purposely placed to enable students to extend their learning beyond the usual classroom experience. Design Craft uses Ipads and specifically the Minecraft app as tools to teach children how to collaboratively communicate, design, and create. Each week students work together on different creations within their simulated world. Students work in teams to discuss, design and create their projects, and assign roles and specific tasks to each member.
At the end of the class students are asked to present their work to the other groups in the class. This club is a paid option and will attract a fee payable through Icon Sports who manage our ECA’s. Japanese Language Club

The objective of Japanese Language Club is to provide a flexible place for students to share their interests in topics related to the country Japan, including but not limited to, Japan's art, music, food, games, media, history, mythology, language and its rich culture in general. It is not a standard Japanese language class, but rather a club that welcomes all levels of Japanese speakers to share and learn.

 

Photography

Photography club with Armand Deguenon. In this club the main activity is the art of photography itself. Students will learn the basics of photography, how to create a memory using any photography device.  This club will help students to pay attention to details in an image, a landscape and above all will allow them to be able to compose their own visuals.  Creation, inspiration and courage to dare will be an integral part of this activity program.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay as delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. K-Pop Dance Club
