Léman International School Chengdu follows an international school calendar, with the academic year starting mid-August and ending at the end of June.
What qualifications do your teachers have?
We hire fully qualified teachers with at least two years of full-time teaching experience.

What languages are taught at LIS Chengdu?
English is the main language of instruction. We offer foreign languages including Mandarin and French. Mandarin is available from Pre-Nursery to Year 13, and French is available for students from Years 7 to 13. Korean is also offered to its native speakers from Years 5 to 13.
Is LIS Chengdu accredited?
Yes, LIS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). LIS is also a member of the Association of China and Mongolia Interntional Schools (ACAMIS).
Is Léman’s curriculum recognised by other international schools and universities?
Yes, students attending our school will have their qualifications accepted by other reputable international schools and universities worldwide. Our school is fully licensed by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Our ‘SAT’ and ‘IBDP’ examinations are fully recognised and accredited by the same Examination Boards as other schools in the UK, USA, and elsewhere.
