Dear Parents and Students
Whilst you are reading this, I will be with fellow Principals from Nord Anglia Education’s 57 schools from across the world at our annual conference. This year’s theme is ‘Meeting the Needs of Future Learners, Today’. We will be working with our Education Team and also with representatives from Apple to look at trends in learning and skills that students will need to have to be successful. I hope you agree that this theme is very much in sync with our vision ‘Be challenged and inspired today, challenge and inspire tomorrow’.
It was an exciting week, where we held our first Parent Teacher Friends’ Association (PTFA) meeting of the year. We focused on the planning of the International Fair that will take place Thursday 15 November. A letter went home on Thursday and we would ask you to return it if you are able to take part for our second annual fair.
Following many concerns that have been raised in the Parent Satisfaction Survey, I am pleased to write that after a couple of false starts due to processing issues with building permits, we have literally broken ground on the building of the new Secondary School, which will be ready for next academic year. Along with our new sports facilities that we are starting to use as the weather cools down and the new swimming pool and changing rooms that are also being built, we are all looking forward to having much improved facilities, enabling us to work towards achieving our vision.
Yours faithfully
Dave Pontich
