In Key Stage 3, our lessons are taught by a series of subject specialists, with the class tutor having the important pastoral role of coordinating all aspects of the students' academic and social development.
During Key Stage 3 we encourage active learning, critical thinking and excellent communication skills including taking part in debates and giving presentations. Our students represent the school at various functions and participate in the school council and other meetings. Specialist subjects begin to embed subject knowledge in preparation for the IGCSEs.
An integral part of learning is the use of the Virtual Learning Platform (Moodle) and taking part in projects within Global Classroom including competitions in Creative Writing, Science, Mathematics, Dance, Art and many others.
Our curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum and offers the following subjects: Arabic, French, Spanish, Media, Business Studies, Art, Physical Education (PE), Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History. It is also compulsory to study English, Maths, Science and Information Communication and Technology (ICT).
Learning is frequently enhanced by various activities, experiments and trips in order to allow our students to see the learned topics embedded in practice.
