Katherine Harvey

Ms Harvey has a BA Honours in Secondary Education and has been teaching for over 11 years.

I began my teaching career in Swinton, Manchester as a specialist P.E teacher and form tutor in September 2003. Here I had the opportunity to become acting head of girls PE, and School Sport's coordinator (working within local feeder primary schools). I worked at that school for eight enjoyable years before relocating to Berkshire. Here I worked within two independent girls boarding schools in Newbury and Ascot.

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to teach various qualifications including; Sports Leaders Award, GCSE and A’ Level. I have also taught across several subject areas notably Science and Maths. My chosen subject is PE where my specialism’s include; netball, hockey, gymnastics, athletics, swimming, rounders and fitness. Although I enjoy teaching, watching and playing most sports.

I have been fortunate enough to work within several outstanding schools across the UK; however now I am ready for a new career challenge and a change of lifestyle. I would like to enhance my teaching and my knowledge about other cultures by working and living in Abu Dhabi.

I come from a very small close family who all live in Cheshire. I am relocating to Abu Dhabi with my husband Tony. We are both very excited to start a new life together and see all that the middle east has to offer.

I have several hobbies including socializing, shopping, going on holidays and trips, and involving myself with various sporting activities such as; running, fitness classes, playing netball and Scuba diving.
