Frequently asked QUESTIONS (FAQS)
- Where are your teachers from?
Our teachers are from native English-speaking countries. Most come from the UK; however, we also have teachers from other parts of the English-speaking world, such as Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Our specialist language teachers are also native speakers of the language they teach.
- What size are your classes?
- The average size of an early years class is 16. At primary, the average is 22 students, and at secondary, the average is between 16 and 20.
- My child doesn't speak much English - will they be OK?
- Yes! We have an excellent English as an Additional Language (EAL) Team who will support your child on their language journey. They'll help them develop the confidence they need to succeed at our school.
- We’re a Czech family with a primary-aged child. Is the Czech bilingual programme the best option for us?
- This depends on your family’s educational needs. All the children in our bilingual Czech British Primary School are Czech; however, there are also Czech students who follow our British and International Primary School curriculum. Our Admissions Team and Head of Primary can talk you through your choices.
- What extracurricular activities do you offer?
- We run a diverse extracurricular programme, which includes activities in sports, dance, art and theatre, technology and science, and languages.
- Do you run a bus service?
- Yes, our safe and efficient bus service covers several routes throughout Prague, serving all three of our campuses.
- Do your students wear a uniform?
- Yes, our students wear a smart and comfortable uniform. The PBIS uniform instils a sense of belonging and respect, saves students time when getting dressed, and enables better focus in school.
- Do you offer discounted fees?
- We offer a reduction in fees for families who enrol more than one child. This is 5% for your second child and 10% for your third and any subsequent children.
- Do you offer scholarships?
- Yes, two scholarships are available through our partnership with Prague 12 District Council. Please contact our Admissions Team to find out more.
