ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION

We’ve worked hard to make sure your child’s stay in Orlando, Florida is comfortable and convenient so they can enjoy the games. All accommodation and ground transport will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education and your child will be chaperoned during the entire trip.

Your child’s stay in Florida

Students and chaperones will be staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, a vibrant, retro-themed hotel in Universal Orlando Resort -- about a 30-minute drive east from Windermere Preparatory School.

Benefits for Cabana Bay guests include complimentary shuttle buses and walking paths to Universal Orlando Theme Parks and Universal CityWalk.

Amenities at the resort include:

Complimentary Wi-Fi in guest rooms and public areas
Cabana Courtyard – features a zero-entry pool with iconic dive tower and water slide
Lazy River Courtyard – features a zero-entry pool with a sand beach and a lazy river with waterfalls
Galaxy Bowl – group-friendly 10-lane bowling alley (fees apply)
Universal Studios store
Multiple dining options throughout the resort from grab and go, including a Starbucks®, to full-service restaurants.

Students and chaperones will check in on Tuesday, December 3, and depart on Saturday, December 7. Students will have their own bed in a shared family suite with one or two other students. Family suites have two queen beds and a sofa bed, in-room safe, mini refrigerator, hair dryer and a separate bath and vanity area.

Please note: Windermere Preparatory students will not stay at the resort. 

Getting around

All travel to the hotel, school, and evening activities will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education. Out-of-state and international students will fly to Orlando, while South Florida students will travel by bus.

There are also prearranged buses to Windermere Preparatory School, the hotel, and all evening activities.

All flights will be booked by Nord Anglia Education. It will be the responsibility of parents to drive their child to and from their home airport. Chaperones will only allow drop off and pick up of students with a parent present inside the airport. Please arrange to have at least one parent for arrival and pick-up at the arranged meeting point in the airport.

Chaperones

Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Students will be assigned a chaperone to ensure they are supervised throughout the entire trip. Each chaperone will oversee ten students and they’ll be appointed by the Athletic Director of each school. Only school staff may chaperone.
