The Junior Global Games is an exciting programme packed with sports clinics and competitions, exciting activities and the chance to make new friends from Nord Anglia’s schools across the region. 

Running from February 27 – March 2, 2024, the Junior Global Games is designed to enable your child to thrive in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and teamwork, while enjoying Houston’s teambuilding, cultural and educational experiences.

Day 1: Arrival and Opening Dinner 

Students will arrive in Houston throughout the day. In the evening, we will kick off the Junior Global Games Texas-style with a BBQ Dinner and Line Dancing at British International School of Houston. 

Day 2: Opening Ceremonies of the Junior Global Games and Rice Owls Game

Your child will participate on the first day of the sports clinics and competitions. In the evening, students will have the opportunity to join Rice University students in cheering for their basketball team, the Rice Owls, playing Temple University in Rice’s Tudor Field House.  Participants will enjoy dinner while watching the game.

Day 3: The Junior Global Games continues and Main Event 

Sports clinics and competitions will continue throughout the day. In the evening, students will visit Main Event Katy for dinner and to enjoy a wide variety of experiences including laser tag, gravity ropes, billiards, bowling as well as non-redemption arcade games. 

Day 4: Day Excursion to Space Center Houston and Farewell Dinner 

Students will experience the wonders of space exploration at Space Center Houston, which features more than 400 space artifacts, exhibits, and theaters showcasing America’s past and future human space flight program. The visit will include a tram tour of George W.S. Abbey Rocket Park to see a Saturn V rocket as well as other rockets that propelled space exploration. Students will also have the opportunity to hear first-hand space exploration stories from a NASA astronaut. In the evening, students will head over to British International School of Houston for a farewell Tex-Mex dinner and tap into their inner ninja and showcase their skills at a Ninja Nation obstacle course.

Day 5: Departure 

Students and chaperones will be transported from the hotel to the airport via coach bus. All departure times will be pre-arranged according to each school’s flight time.
