Venue, Accommodation and Transportation 

Our Venue 

The Junior Games will be held at British International School of Houston’s impressive 33-acre campus in Katy, a city 30 miles west of Houston. The school is unlike any other in the Houston area; its world-class, modern, glass architecture was specifically designed for students’ activities and effective learning across age groups. British International School of Houston features a centralised, collaborative workspace that allows students to gather and to feed off each other’s ideas.  Additionally, the school features expansive, carefully constructed outdoor spaces for learning, play and athletics. as well  

Each of our Junior Games sporting events will be supervised by referees and will take place in the school’s outstanding sports facilities that include 2 NCAA-sized gymnasiums, a six-lane aquatics centre, FIFA regulation soccer pitches, a fitness suite, and more.   

Your child’s stay in Houston 

Students and chaperones from all schools will be staying in one of the following 3* hotels close to British International School of Houston. Each school will stay together in the same hotel. 

Students will check in on Tuesday, February 27, and depart on Saturday, March 2. Children will have their own bed in a shared suite with one or 2 other students. Accommodation will include breakfast.  

Please note: British International School of Houston and The Village School students will not stay at a hotel. 

Girls and boys will be on separate floors/wings. Chaperones will be placed close to their group of students on the same floor, so they can be available for them.  

Getting around 

All travel will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education. International students will fly to Houston, Texas. 

There will be prearranged coach buses with seatbelts to British International School of Houston, the hotel, and all day and evening activities. 

All flights will be booked by Nord Anglia Education. It will be the responsibility of the parents to drive their child to and from their home airport. Chaperones will only allow drop off and pick up of students with a parent present inside the airport. Please arrange to have at least one parent arrive and pick up at the arranged meeting point in the airport. 


Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Students will be assigned a chaperone to ensure they are supervised throughout the entire trip. Chaperones will be appointed by the Athletic Director of each school, and each chaperone will oversee ten students. Only school staff may chaperone.
