Dear Parents,
This morning we enjoyed three wonderful assemblies in our Primary school. From Y2SH we went under the sea to learn all about the different sea life in our world. Y3SC entertained us with a fun, musical presentation about dinosaurs, fossils and Mary Anning, who was a pioneering palaeontologist. The students in Year 6AW reminded us all about the zones of regulation and how to use these effectively to manage our feelings, emotions and reactions – very important lessons for all of us throughout our lives. Thank you to all the students and staff in Year 2SH, Year 3SC and Year 6AW for the time and effort you put into your assemblies this morning – it was wonderful to see so many children presenting confidently and with enjoyment on stage today.

Wicked Writers
Today we presented our Writing Awards for the second time this academic year to those children selected by the teachers in their year group to be deserving of this award. One student from each year group is chosen each half-term based on their effort to improve the standard of their writing in school, and who are demonstrating a high level of attainment. Well done and congratulations to:
- Reception: Cy nthia Liu
- Year 1: Anna Mei
- Year 2: Ethan Ma
- Year 3: Peter Yu
- Year 4: Christy Wang
- Year 5: Hyunjun Seo
- Year 6: Jason Yu

Temple Fair – Monday January 24
We are looking forward to celebrating Chinese New Year starting with our annual Temple Fair on Monday January 24. The Temple Fair is organised by our wonderful Primary Chinese department, ably led by our Primary Chinese Leader, Ms Julia Huang. There will be performances by students on this day as well as the opportunity for students to visit vendors who will be in school selling showcasing a variety of traditional Chinese games, treats and skills. Further information regarding the Temple Fair will be sent to all parents early next week.
All students are invited to come to school on this day dressed in traditional Chinese clothes / costume or in the colours of red and / or gold. PE and swimming lessons will take place as normal on this day so children should bring or wear the required kit to school.
