We are part of a thriving and growing family of over 42 Nord Anglia Education schools. Through the Global Campus, your child will connect with students in these schools to learn valuable lessons and discover cultures around the world.
Our Global Campus initiative provides your child with a unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with students across the globe. Through virtual learning and exchanges, your child will learn to respect and understand different cultures, work as part of a team and develop leadership skills.
What is the Global Campus?
We are a large family of schools, providing quality education all over the world. Global Campus allows your child to connect with fellow students in countries beyond Switzerland itself.
Global Campus has three facets:
- An online learning space. Our e-learning community will enable your child to discover, in a safe online environment, a range of activities, debates and expert tuition. The Global Campus is a secure site, which is monitored constantly by a team of educators based in Oxford, England.
- Our annual in-school challenge helps your child to develop team-building and creative skills, with the help of established experts. In 2012, students took part in a global dance competition inspired by Pineapple Dance Studio, while in 2011 they created an in-school mural inspired by London art company Edge of Arabia. In 2013, the Global Campus in-school challenge enabled each Nord Anglia Education school to compete on a specific science and engineering project that focuses on finding solutions to global problems with water. As part of the challenge, students interacted online with world-renowned science specialist from Imperial College, London (one of the world's top 100 universities) and the international development charity Practical Action. In 2015, students participated in the 'Rights of the Child Programme' in collaboration with Oxfam.
- The annual Summit allows students to get involved in forums with policy makers and influencers. Representatives from our schools gather in person. In 2015, selected students participated in an expedition to Tanzania.
The benefit to you and your child
The Global Campus gives your child a truly "international" school experience.
The Nord Anglia Education family stretches from North America to Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia. Therefore, your child's learning experience will draw from cultures around the world.
By broadening your child's experience and understanding of a range of global cultures, you will help them to develop respect, open-mindedness and a broader understanding of the world we live in. They will be able to adapt more easily if your family re-locates to one of our schools in a different country, and they will be better prepared to explore opportunities and challenges anywhere in the world.
