At The British International School Bratislava we have continued to increase the breadth and depth of our Enrichment offer both in terms of our core Enrichment on Wednesday afternoons and Enrichment clubs at lunch time and after school.

As well as traditional sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, rugby and tennis, we also support minority sports and have several student skiers who are competing at a national level.  Our own teams compete successfully at local and regional levels. We are members of the “Danube Valley Athletics Conference” (DVAC) which is the international association of sports schools and colleges.

At The British International School Bratislava every child participates in regular school music and drama much of which leads towards regularly productions. There is a school orchestra, hand-bell orchestra, ukulele orchestra, ensemble groups and choirs. We have developed an intensive peripatetic music programme at school which provides our students one-to-one music lessons in instruments like guitar, violin, flute, drums, piano, etc with professional music teachers.

The School regularly performs in some of the special historic locations in a city that has a distinguished musical heritage. We also boast a proud tradition of contemporary performance work and each term our students perform at “the Summer concerts” for the school community.

From September 2016, The British International School Bratislava will enrich its Performing Arts programme through the collaboration with the prestigious performing arts school in New York The Juilliard.

Our art students produce exhibitions of their work both in and outside the school and all our students have access to a range dance lessons through our association with the professional dance school.

Apart from sports and music, our students can explore their talents and further develop their confidence, responsibility, teamwork and leadership skills  in activities such as eco projects, community service and charity commitments, robotics, cookery, problem solving, pottery, construction and coding etc. to name but a few.

Students also have the chance to participate in high profile events such as the International Award, the Tanzania Expedition, Young Enterprise Award, and Maths and Science Challenges.
