Moodle is a virtual learning environment we are privileged to use at The British International School Bratislava. It encourages staff, students and parents to come together and share experiences outside the classroom. We use Moodle in many different ways to support and inspire your learning journey.
We use Moodle to enthuse children about their weekly lessons. Beyond lesson summaries, there are opportunities to develop other interests. Children can complete on-line homework challenges, view pictures and videos of classroom learning as well as find web-links to further develop their understanding. For older children there are chances to participate in blog and chat spaces. This inspires them to connect with peers and teachers in a safe environment.
How can you participate?
Next, enter your child’s username and password (the same one they use at school). This is provided to all new and existing users to ensure we belong to a safe online family.
Then, from the main page, click on the relevant link to take you where you wish to go.
Having problems connecting to Moodle? My username or password does not work, or, I have forgotten them?
You can email Mr Walker, our school’s Moodle leader at Damian.Walker@bisb.sk and he will help to solve the problem.
I cannot access Moodle on my computer?
Some computer settings block certain pages. You need to investigate whether your settings are blocking Moodle from opening.
When I click on a page in Moodle, it asks me to enroll as a member of the course?
This is normal if you are going to a page for the first time. You may be asked several times to enroll; this is to keep track of who is accessing which pages.
