KS3 Overview: Becoming independent learners

The English National Curriculum is used as a base for objective assessment, supplemented by the wealth of experience from our international setting. Targets are agreed with students on an individual basis with the objective of achievement in line with potential.
Classroom and extra-curricular activities are varied to accommodate different interests and learning styles, while retaining the challenge of new skills and understanding. The emphasis is on constant progress through learning, while the style is friendly, with active student involvement.
Students continue to learn outside the classroom, through educational visits, involvement in clubs and from Year 9 the chance to begin the International Award.
