Year 1A Class Teacher and Deputy Head of Primary

I am delighted to be here at BISB and very excited about getting to know my new class, colleagues and host country. I have come to Slovakia from Singapore where I was teaching at the Nord Anglia School for the past four years.

I turned to teaching after enjoying other careers.  I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University and went on to work in Journalism and Public Relations.  When my children were young I re-trained as a Psychotherapist and worked in Private Practice and for the UK National Health Service.

I have four children, and as I became involved in their school lives, I decided that I really wanted to train to teach.  I have loved every moment of it and feel privileged to have such a rewarding job.  I taught in the UK and  moved to Moscow with my family for five years before we went on to South East Asia.

In my spare time I love to read, walk and bake.  I enjoy singing in choirs and traveling.

The best thing I hear from the children in my class is - I love coming to school!
