Elena Kelly

2A Teaching and Learning Assistant

I began my career by working in Romanian state schools system as a History and Civic culture teacher. I also taught ESL to students of various ages in several International schools in Bucharest.

After getting married we moved to Africa where I taught AS level law.  I was also the secretary to the Director of Studies at the school where I taught.

Together with my family, we decided to move once more, this time to be closer to both sets of my daughters' grandparents. We chose the British International School of Bratislava because it had a good reputation and followed the British Curriculum.

I love playing volleyball and currently run the volleyball afterschool club for KS2 girls. As a teenager I played volleyball professionally and enjoyed being the team captain.

During the weekends I like to take my family to explore the surroundings of Bratislava and learn about the Slovak culture.

In my spare time I read a lot of information and fiction books and try to learn more foreign languages.

My nationality is Romanian.

What the students say about me

I like Mrs.Kelly because she is a good teacher and kind.

Mrs.Kelly helps me on the carpet.
