Week Beginning 5 March 2018


  • Class Dojo - We are really enjoying our new reward system in class! We have chosen our own little monster icons who look after our points each week. The children earn behaviour points for making fantastic choices, helping their friends and more.
  • Reminder: Parent-Teacher Consultations are on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Thank you to all parents who have made an appointment, we are looking forward to talking to you. If you haven’t made an appointment, but would like to, please talk to your class teacher.

COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE:  Listening and attention

We will be listening to instructions, and carefully thinking about the words used so that we can respond correctly to our friends and teachers. We will also be practising our listening skills when listening to the ideas shared by our friends, as well as what is said so that we can follow instructions carefully.

MATHS: 3D shapes

We really enjoyed learning about 3D shapes last week; we know some of the names of the shapes, and we are able to spot some 2D shapes on the different faces. This week, we will be aiming to make our own 3D shapes! We will need to look very carefully at each face to know which ones will make given 3D shapes.

When we have made some shapes, we will describe them to our friends and try to compare and contrast them. Can you spot any 3D shapes at home?

We’re going to be leading our own learning in the classroom,  by reading different messages around our classroom and talking to our friends about things we have read.

De kinderen van Reception gaan deze week  verder aan de slag met het  schrijven van het script voor hun act op het TAALstraattheaterfestival.  Zal de haai de prinses opeten?  Wie zal de prinses redden?  Is de haai vegetarisch? U komt het allemaal te weten op woensdag 14 maart!
