Dates for your diary:

  • Thursday 29th June  - Last day of term

This week the children will be taking part in an exciting challenge. They will be creating a stop motion animation to tell a story that they are interested in and passionate about. The topics range from global warming to animal cruelty. In Literacy the children will need to research the topic and build up arguments about why this is an important issue. The children will write a story plan to plan out their message and will then record it using a series of stop motion animation clips.

The children will be using their research skills and will use creative elements to explain their issue. The children will share their video creations at the end of the week. They will require to draw on a variety of problem solving skills and group work skills in order to complete the project. Collaboration and cooperation will also be important for the success of the project.
