Congratulations to newly formed Primary Student Council
Congratulations to newly formed Primary Student Council Here at BVIS Hanoi, the student council has a very important role; they are the voice of all of the students in our care and ambassadors for our school.

Huge congratulations goes to our newly formed Primary Student Council which includes representatives from each class, voted for by their classmates. Here at BVIS Hanoi, the student council has a very important role; they are the voice of all of the students in our care and ambassadors for our school. These ambassadors share with the teachers and leadership team the views and opinions of our students and discuss how we can make our school even better! Through this role, the children will have the opportunity to acquire the sort of communication, planning and organisational skills which will be of benefit to them in their future lives.  It enables students to take responsibility for projects, and to demonstrate that they can manage and bring such projects to a successful conclusion. Our student council are young leaders in our school and as such are excellent role models for our school community. This week each class had their first class council meeting, where the children were given the opportunity to discuss how we as a school can make morning and lunchtime breaks even better. The children shared some excellent suggestions which will be discussed further in a full Student Council meeting after half term and then presented to Mr West for further consideration. We wish the Student Council lots of luck in their new role, already we are seeing skills needed to be our future leaders!

Read some of our students views on the BVIS Student Council:

Cherry 1S: “We can have more friends and make the school a better one. The student council is special!”

Tien Phuc 4V: “I love being in the student council because I get to help other children to be happy.”

Nhu Y 5B: “It’s important to have a school council because children will feel more positive about the school and the school council will make the school a better place. We will also have a stronger sense of respect and self-worth.”
