Trips and expeditions

Your child will create lifelong memories on amazing adventures in Vietnam and overseas. These include Nord Anglia expeditions to Tanzania and Switzerland, as well as once-a-year residentials to destinations ranging from Ha Long Bay to the Thai Hai eco-village. Our students embrace Vietnamese history, culture, and traditions on day trips in and around Hanoi, too.

Our students love getting active, ensuring they develop healthy habits from an early age. Extra-curricular clubs range from the traditional, including badminton, football, and basketball, to the unique, such as ice-skating and bowling. Whatever your child loves to do, there are plenty of opportunities for them to keep fit, finesse their skills, and enjoy some friendly competition.

We love the arts at BVIS Hanoi, which is why we offer a myriad of opportunities for students of all ages to express their creativity. Our students explore the world at our cultural colouring group, sculpt impressive pieces at our clay modelling activity, and have lots of fun at card design, calligraphy, and creative Lego clubs.

Science and technology

Innovation abounds at extra-curricular clubs that cultivate our students’ curiosity, spark imaginations, and challenge them in new and extraordinary ways. In our STEAM space and science labs, students take part in the MIT Challenge, putting their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test. They also learn to code, design video games, and build robots.

Service, sustainability, and wellbeing

We know that happy, healthy students achieve more. They also make a bigger contribution to our school and community. Mindful activities like colouring, creative writing, and poetry boost wellbeing, while learning a musical instrument improves cognitive development and provides a real sense of achievement. Your child can also take the lead in school, become an ‘eco warrior’, and support one of our many local service projects.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is the world’s leading youth achievement programme – and one of our most popular activities. Through personal challenge and community service activities, our students develop a host of transferable skills, including determination, confidence, and resilience. The Award is a fantastic addition to university applications, too.

Want to play an even bigger role in our thriving community? Then why not join our Parent Ambassador (PA) group! As well as helping new families settle into our school and city, our PA group organises events, activities, and cultural celebrations. They give families across the school a voice and influence how we do things, too.
