Angus Mckie


Science Teacher (KS3 Coord)

BSc (Hons) –  School of Marine Science and Engineering - Surf Science and Technology, University of Plymouth, UK

PGCE (Secondary Science – specialism in Physics) – SCITT, Cornwall, UK

Angus has been teaching for eight years, following a number of years working in the oil industry. After graduating, he taught Physics, Biology and Chemistry in two secondary schools in Cornwall. While there, Angus was part of the British Council’s Connecting Classroom’s project, visiting Vietnam in 2009 and 2010 to establish links with his counterparts in Vietnamese schools, set up school partnerships and to share British and Vietnamese teaching practices. In 2011, Angus moved to Qatar, where he taught secondary Science and Physics at a large British international school. In his spare time, Angus is enthusiastic about keeping fit and enjoys surfing and stand-up paddle boarding.
