Tanya Ramanah


Secondary EAL Teacher/Counsellor

BA in Social Work and Applied Social Studies at the University of Bath.

CELTA English Language Certificate, Hanoi.

Tanya comes from South London, England and has always been interested in mental health and emotional wellbeing. After graduating from the University of Bath, Tanya worked in the city of Bristol, UK, as a statutory social worker for 2 years. The role included working with young people, adults and families experiencing crisis in relation to their mental or physical health, relationship difficulties and other social needs. Additionally, Tanya worked with a local youth charity to develop and run mental health workshops for teenagers.

In the autumn of 2015, Tanya moved to Hanoi and worked with the Hanoi Counselling and Psychology Group to create a voluntary social support programme. Tanya also worked as a private English tutor and completed her CELTA certificate. Tanya plans to continue studying this year to gain a diploma in child and youth counselling.

In her spare time, Tanya enjoys painting and photography, as well as travelling around Asia to learn more about different cultures, people and their lives.
