Thank you to those families who attended the Juilliard evening on Tuesday. It was great to formally launch our collaboration with Juilliard. It was also wonderful to see the students perform their work that they had written in front of the audience and to savour the many talents we have here at BVIS. We live streamed the event and you can watch the event yourself by following the link here:
Today and tomorrow we have the pleasure of welcoming colleagues from sister FOBISIA schools across Asia. As you know we have a fantastic community programme here and we were asked to host the FOBISIA Community conference here at BVIS. This is a fantastic opportunity to show case what we do well here and an opportunity for our staff to work alongside teachers and staff from across the region. The ultimate aim of course is to share good practice and ensure that we are at the leading edge of innovation and development in this area of important school work. A big thank you to Ms Gillie and Mr Gavin for organising the programme for our visitors.
I am delighted to say that most of the offers from colleges and universities for our graduates are now in. All our students are planning to attend college or university in destinations right across the world. I am always delighted to see also that some students elect to stay here and continue their further studies in Vietnam. Well over 50% of our graduates were offered places in the top colleges and universities around the world including some of the top 50 universities globally. This is great news for our students, for families and a great validation of the great work we are doing here at BVIS with the students. On 20th May we will be hosting the graduation ceremony at Le Meridian Hotel to celebrate our graduates achievements and wish them well as they start preparing for their higher education journey.
I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
