Dear parents

On Saturday evening we hosted the graduation ceremony for our class of 2017. The event was held at the five star Le Meridien Hotel and was attended by over 100 guests. This was a wonderful event and a very fitting way to celebrate their achievements and wish them good luck in their next journey to universities around the world. As well as formal speeches, four of the graduates spoke to their peers with some exceptionally moving and well written words. A small section of the secondary school choir also performed a superb choral piece in tribute to our leaving students. It was a fantastic night and as ever we were all exceptionally proud of our students and their families.

We have already started to finalise our planning for next year and it is great to see that already there are many plans to include some exciting initiatives for our young people. Being part of a big family of schools and part of FOBISIA means that our students more than most will be afforded a huge range of exciting opportunities next year. This will include an expansion of our performing arts and sports programmes and activities. There will also be further expansion of other educational opportunities through the NAE Global Classroom initiatives. Please follow the link below to find out what this is and the opportunities it will provide.

In reality, there is so much for our young people to get involved in now, that we have to plan our calendar very carefully to try to accommodate everything evenly across the school year. It promises to be a very exciting year both for academic and non- academic events and activities.

I wish you all  very relaxing weekend.

Paul Holyome

Principal
