Putting Fun Back into Food

A fun food event presented by our in school caterers Eurest/Chartwells, part of Compass Group PLC

Coming soon to a theatre near you!

As a Global Company, Compass commits to exchange best practices across continents. In 2013, we had the pleasure to welcome renowned Chef and Entertainer Mr. Darren Tinkler with Chartwells signature education program – PUTTING FUN BACK INTO FOOD.

This Thursday February 27th, Darren is back bringing this exciting event once again to the BSB community.

Compass strongly believes that to be a caterer in a school does not only mean food provision. It is not only the nutritional aspects on daily services or the communications channels to listen to our consumers. We decided to aggregate, develop, launch and follow with SOPs events that brought food education right where it belongs: in the classrooms, in our kitchens, in the cafeteria, on special projects.

What was developed toward end of 2013 and starting in many top Intl. schools such as BSB, is our Beyond Food program. It consists on reaching out to the community, coordinating with faculty and student groups with the aim of organizing together events that in a nutshell:

§  Educate about HSE (hygiene & safety practices)

§  Encourage healthy eating habits

§  Communicate interactively about Compass standards

§  Complement food related classroom education with real life examples and activities
