For our final day we all got to do the activities that we hadn't done yet. Miss Newman and Mr Johnson's groups started the day at camp and went hiking and dragon boat racing. Miss Doherty and Mrs Dold's group played laser tag and went rock climbing. Mr Hartland and Miss Brown's groups did archery, raft building and wilderness skills.

We also had time to reflect on our trip. The children have made us all extremely proud over the past few days. They have challenged themselves and pushed themselves out of their comfort zone which has been wonderful to see. As the year group has been mixed up it has given the children a chance to work with a different group of people and they have all bonded and formed new friendships. Team work has been a key element in our week and we are so proud of how supportive and kind the children have been.

The children have got so many stories to share from their week which we are sure they can't wait to tell you. However here are some of their thoughts and reflections so far:

  • "I really enjoyed the rock climbing - it was great learning a new skill and I'd love to do it again!"
  • "I loved being a strong team. We really bonded in our groups and came up with fun chants and games. It was fun competing against the other groups too!"
  • "Some of the things we've done this week have been hard, like the leap of faith. I have learnt that I can do things I didn't think I could do and it's good to challenge myself. I want to try new things now!"
  • "I am really proud of myself for trying so many new things and doing so many different activities"

This evening we are all off for a barbecue to celebrate an amazing trip!
