World Maths week was about inspiring students through open and creative maths. Many different tasks were used to show students, maths as a broad, interesting and visual subject that involves deep thinking. Before every lesson, students learned important growth mindset messages that helped them to feel more confident, try harder, persist with open and difficult problems and embrace mistakes and challenge.
To accommodate all learners, Friday saw KS2 students challenged in a maths contest where BSB Houses where up against each other in a fast and furious maths quiz. It was an amazing week, where teachers were able to enjoy energetic, joyful classrooms and opportunities to appreciate the thinking of every student in the class.
