AISA Maths Mania and Leadership Conference

6 schools compete in Maths or Leadership challenges over 2 days here in Beijing

BSB will be hosting our first ever Association of International Schools in Asia (AISA) event, the Mathematics Challenge & Leadership Conference from Friday 30th January to Saturday 31st January 2015. AISA core schools include Korea International School, Senri and Osaka International School, Seoul International School, & Yokohama International School (YIS). Rounding out participating schools with BSB Shunyi for this year’s event will also be Harrow International School Beijing (HISB). Schools select their top 4 mathematicians and top 4 student leaders to attend this conference annually. As a host school we will enter double this amount for both mathematics & leadership. The purpose of the mathematics competition is to unite mathematicians from AISA schools to challenge and expand their understanding of mathematics, to engage in friendly competition and to have fun. The leadership conference is a non-competitive, collaborative event that focuses on developing team building skills, sharing common student leadership experiences, and exploring practical ideas, plans and suggestions for promoting school and community spirit to take back to each school.
