Chris studied at Columbia College Chicago receiving an instrumental performance degree with a focus in classical guitar in 2008. In both 2005 and 2007, he studied in Córdoba, Spain at the Festival Internacional de la Guitarra under world-class virtuoso players such as David Russell, Costas Costiolis, and Manuel Barrueco.
He has since completed master study classes with Lorenzo Micheli and Pavel Stiedl. In 2009, Chris earned his Suzuki Instructor certification at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Guitar Institute. Besides teaching guitar to students of all ages and levels, he owns and operates Larkspur Strings Music, performing Classical/Brazilian Jazz/Pop arrangements in the Chicago area. His compositions have been selected by filmmakers at UC Berkeley, the Goldin Institute and the Centre National de la Research Scientifique. Currently, he is excited to share his passion for music and guitar method with the students of British International School of Chicago and to be part of the BISC community.
