I was 100% sure I wanted to study and work with languages and so I decided to become a Spanish teacher.
I am originally from Spain and when I was 17 years old, I moved to lovely Granada in order to study Languages and Translation BA Hons (English, Italian, Dutch and French). Granada is one of my favourite cities in the whole world, and one of the main reasons for that is the great mix of cultures and languages the city has to offer. After living there for some years and having had the pleasure of becoming an exchange student in both Antwerp and Rome, in 2007, I moved to Madrid in order to obtain a Master's degree in Intercultural Communication as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. A couple of years after that, I moved to India where I got certified as a yoga teacher. However, by then I already knew I wanted to specialize in Spanish as a foreign language, and so I decided to get a second Master’s, this time an International Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. If you have not noticed by now, I absolutely love studying, so I made a plan to also get officially accredited as a “Sworn Translator and Interpreter of Legal Documents” by the Government of Spain for Spanish to English and vice versa, as well as an official Examiner for Instituto Cervantes’ DELE international exams.
I believe that what distinguishes my work is both my passion for foreign cultures and languages as well as my extensive time living overseas. During these past years, my career has been diverse and enriching, having lived and worked in the USA, India and South Africa, where I had the pleasure to teach both adults and kids. I love being part of multicultural teams, working with people from all over the world. This, together with my love for kids and traveling, made me very eager to explore the possibility of working at an International School. Thanks to NAS Dubai my dream has come true.
When I am not teaching, it is most likely that you will find me traveling the world! It is my real passion indeed and I truly believe it is the best way to learn about respect and love for everyone and anyone. I also love practising yoga, meditating, learning new things (anything!), reading and enjoying a good meal in a nice restaurant.
