I taught in France for a period of 18 years and I had the opportunity to help with the professional development of newly graduated teachers before deciding on a move to Dubai. It was an easy decision to come here with my family, as we love travelling and experiencing new cultures. I have friends living in Dubai, who shared stories of how wonderful it was to live in this vibrant city and I therefore wanted to be part of this.
I teach French to Advanced students at NAS Dubai and I endeavour to do my best to support them to master the complexities of this beautiful language, but more importantly to love it.
My philosophy is simple! It is important that the teacher acts as a guide and allows the child’s natural curiosity to direct their learning. Therefore, I encourage the children I teach, in all that they do, to develop a curious mind in order to discover learning for themselves by building their knowledge in French.
My favourite quote is “You don’t stop dancing because you get older, you get older because you have stopped dancing!” I believe that you spend your whole life learning and you never stop experiencing something new. This I feel is a true quality of an outstanding teacher and why I joined NAS Dubai. I knew that coming here would further my professional development, as it would give me the opportunity to teach children of different nationalities and of course to practise my English! I feel very privileged to be able to embrace the exciting challenges on offer at NAS Dubai and to be a part of this great family.
In my free time I love to dance, especially Cuban dances. I also love visiting art galleries, travelling and reading a book to relax.
I look forward to continuing my journey as a teacher for many years to come at Nord Anglia International School Dubai.
