Before starting at NAS Dubai, I was a Year 6 class teacher and Physical Education subject leader in my hometown of Coventry, England, where I have also had experience teaching across the full primary age range.
My passion for teaching is based on giving children learning for life, and I believe that children learn better when they understand what qualities they need to demonstrate not only to achieve academically, but in order to learn to become well rounded, respectful young citizens equipped for global life. I feel that it is extremely important for children to understand how their learning fits into the context of the real world, and I believe that the British National Curriculum offers fantastic opportunities for this to happen.
In my spare time I like to keep as active as possible - my biggest passion is cheerleading, becoming an international champion with my team back in the UK. I also really enjoy long distance running and try to take part in a variety of different races throughout the year. I am a keen traveller, exploring as many different countries as possible with my friends and family during the holidays.
I am really enjoying being part of the exciting journey here at Nord Anglia International School and experiencing life in Dubai.
