Since leaving Sixth Form College I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, and decided to combine my love of teaching with travelling and spent 10 happy months teaching on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. This time confirmed my love for teaching, and I went on to do my BA Primary Education degree at St Mary’s College, Twickenham. I spent 6 years teaching in and around East London, in a variety of schools with children who come from diverse backgrounds. Due to my husband’s career, we relocated to Paderborn, Germany and we spent 4 happy years teaching children from a Military background. We then relocated back to the UK for 2 years before moving out to Dubai.
I have a strong passion for teaching and consider myself lucky that I get the opportunity to educate children, taking them through their learning journey. I have had a number of roles throughout my career, from Mentor to trainee students, assessment coordinator and a range of other coordinator roles, giving me a wide range of experiences throughout the school environment.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband Andy, my daughter Sophie and our newborn. We love to explore, travel and find new adventures. It is always exciting to be a part of the NAS Dubai community and I am really looking forward to all the exciting future plans for NAS Dubai.
