Dance is an integral part of the performing arts at The Village School. The program develops a well-rounded dancer who studies ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, musical theatre, hip-hop and multicultural dance forms. Academic classes may also cover choreography and dance history. Faculty members are experienced dancers who share the joy of dance and their extensive knowledge with their students.
As they learn proper technique, students develop strength, flexibility and confidence, along with the discipline that comes from studying a performance art. The program develops students’ interest in creative performance and establishes a sense of teamwork. Dancers participate in several performances a year on and off campus.
As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, students studying dance have extraordinary opportunities beyond those provided by their schools.
