The Village School Parent Association (VSPA) supports the school in assisting new families settling into our unique Village Community and we encourage returning parents to become actively involved, as schedules allow. These experiences allow parents and their child(ren) to benefit completely from their school experience. Our ‘Get Connected’ document summarizes the initiatives available to new families and those wanting to be more connected, such as social media, events, volunteering, coffees and interest groups.
Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle and High School Divisions have representatives on the VSPA Executive Committee. These volunteers are great sources of information. They welcome input and ideas that will be taken back to the VSPA Board. To contact your VSPA VP, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Village Parent Coffee Group
The Google Coffee Group is an independent parent-run, un-moderated e-group for all Village School parents*. The casual setting of weekly coffees is perfect for new and returning families looking to make connections. Whether you’re a native Houstonian or have expat status, this is a supportive, welcoming group.
To join, email email@example.com.
*Opinions expressed are solely those of the individual contributors and do not reflect the opinions or concerns of VSPA or The Village School.
Coffees are every Wednesday after school drop-off at Julie’s Pastries.
Village Parent-led Groups
Would you like to get to know other Village parents? Do you enjoy pursuing a personal interest(s)? Village Parent Groups are a great way to do BOTH! Why not join one of our parent-led groups OR start your own? These groups are open for all Village parents. Details about these clubs can be found on our "Get Connected" document.
For 2016-17, we have clubs for:
- Google Coffee Group + E-Group
- International Book Club
- MOM’s Club (Moms On Merlot)
- Movie Club
- Touch Rugby
To start your own group, you just need to come up an idea plus a day and time and VSPA can spread the word for you. VSPA does not help to organize these groups. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
Coffees with Division Directors
Each division in The Village School will promote various coffees and information sessions, which all parents are invited to attend. VSPA representatives aim to be on hand at these events and can liaise with the school on any issues that arise.
