Year 1 Class Teacher
Adam holds a BA in English from the University of Exeter and a PGCE from the University of Cambridge. Whilst Adam specialises in Early Years teaching, he is also qualified to teach across the Primary age range. Before coming to Shanghai Adam taught for three years in the United Kingdom and prior to that taught for a year in Hong Kong in a Kindergarten. Adam has been teaching at NAIS Pudong for one year now and has thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
While teaching in the United Kingdom, Adam was responsible for science teaching and learning and gained the school the PSQM (Primary Science Quality Mark) in recognition of the school’s outstanding science practice and results. He was also a member of the Primary Science Advisory Board in the UK, helping to draft and define the 2014 National Curriculum for Science.
Adam enjoys playing sports and learning new skills, such as languages. He likes to spend time with his friends and colleagues and exploring new places and having new adventures. Adam likes keeping busy so will normally be out and about doing something different to keep his mind ticking over; so teaching is the perfect profession as you never get to sit down!
