Reception Christmas Show

Our Principal Writes

This week the school has hosted a visit from Tom Barrett, an Australia-based, leading global educator and expert on innovation. Besides being a successful former school leader in the UK, Tom has worked with schools and companies around the world, such as Burberry, Apple, Google and Lego, on various aspects of their professional development portfolios.

The Value of Competition

This week we have hosted and participated in the FOBISIA U15 Games, a highly competitive sporting competition between some of the best international schools in SE Asia. It was quite awe inspiring to witness the sporting excellence of so many young athletes and to see the high level of determination and competitiveness that they brought to each match or event.

Our Christmas Production

The story begins on a cold evening on Christmas Eve. Everywhere throughout London, Christmas cheer is both seen and heard – that is everywhere except Ebenezer Scrooge’s office.

Our Principal Writes

Maybe, like many, you have been a keen follower of the American Election. By the time you read this blog post, we will have a good idea of who is the next ‘POTUS’. Or perhaps you follow the rule to never talk about religion or politics.

Happiness Is Found in Helping Others

Today I am proudly wearing a bright red brick badge that was given to me by a Year 1 child who thought the colour matched my shoes. She was very keen to spend another 10rmb to buy this badge for me, along with the hair clips and badge she had bought for herself, because she said that “this money would help to buy bricks to build a school for children in Nepal and she wanted to help the children there to learn”.

Our Principal Writes

As I write this week's post I am surveying Nord Anglia Education's residential camp in Tanzania, called Shamba Kipara Camp. Tanzania is a fascinating country with extremes typical of many developing countries in Africa.

Busy Place - Exciting Learning

After a busy week at work, you might imagine that the last place I would want to spend my weekend was at school. However, at BISS Puxi, the exciting learning experiences are not contained to the school day and most evenings and weekends, the school campus is bursting with life and activity.
