We are looking for your help for contributions of second-hand toys, books and any other small unwanted household items for our Jumble Table at the Summer Garden Party. In Literacy this week we will complete a unit of work where the children will be writing adventure stories. The children will be writing the main part of their adventure story, ensuring that they use all the Literacy skills they have learnt over the year. The children will also complete a reading comprehension about owls.

In Maths the children will continue to revise the previous weeks work and then begin to apply this knowledge to word based problems. The focus of the lessons will be very much dependent on the children’s individual strengths and weaknesses. Some of the areas the children might cover are; handling data, time, measures, shape and positional language.

Themed Learning

The children will be learning about tribes that live in the Amazon rainforest. They will leant about the different customs and dress in some of the different types and then begin to write a simple diary of a tribe’s person’s daily life.
