After spending some time teaching Psychology, Elizabeth chose to re-focus and made the move to teaching in Primary schools because she believes that this is where she can make the biggest difference to children’s learning. She worked in Goucestershire and Hertfordshire as both Literacy Coordinator and SEN Coordinator before she embarked on her international teaching career in Oman and now China. Elizabeth has a variety of experience across the 3-18 age range, both as a class teacher and a manager, and this allows her to have a good grasp of what is expected of all students.
Elizabeth’s passions lie in Anthropology, Phenomenology and Philosophy. She is fascinated by different cultures and people and makes the most of her opportunities to learn more while travelling. Her itinerary is usually based around visiting different temples, religious buildings and museums where she insists on reading everything! Always looking for a new challenge, she has recently taken up jogging and, despite finding it rather difficult, is enjoying taking in some of the Shanghai sights (and smells) as she goes.
