Staff Profile: Michelle Jones (formerly Gill)

Michelle Gill

Head of Themed Learning / Year 1 Class Teacher

Michelle graduated from Birmingham University with a BSc hons degree in Physiotherapy.  After realising that she wanted to work with children in a different setting, she undertook a PGCE in Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3 Science.  On completion of her PGCE, Michelle started her teaching degree at an outstanding primary school in Bristol where she worked for five years.  

During her time at this school she taught in Years 1, 2, 3 & 5.  She also contributed significantly to her school in an all-round fashion as Food and Nutrition coordinator and Art coordinator, having previously led Science. Michelle has also been involved in organising school camps and netball competitions.  

Michelle enjoys being busy and has a wide range of interests such as art, travelling, sports, outdoor pursuits, diving and swing dancing.
