Daniel returned to the UK in 2005 to work on the new Crossrail transport project in London as part of the team lobbying the project in House of Commons and Lords Select Committee. Following this time outside of teaching, Daniel then decided to apply his skills and experiences of industry and teaching to become a Geography teacher. He trained for a PGCE at the Institute of Education, University of London followed by two years teaching in London. He decided to make the move to work at BISS Puxi for a new opportunity and a chance to see at first hand the change he teaches in his classes. This is Daniel’s fifth year to work at BISS Puxi where he has built up a good rapport with students, staff and parents. He is proud of the success of his students in his exam classes over the last four years since working at BISS Puxi.
Michael Palin once said, “when the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected for the rest of my life”, for which I totally understand myself. Travelling to new places to explore cultures and landscapes inspires me to make sense of the world. I enjoy conveying this passion of mine to teach the young great minds of the future, particularly the importance of living more sustainable lifestyles.
