Through this Nick gained a secure understanding in supporting the key transition years. During this time he maintained his interests within sport by gaining FA Level 2 coaching badges in football through placements at both Everton and Blackpool Football Clubs and in addition to this he holds recognised coaching badges in both Basketball and Futsol (Indoor Football). He has taught at a range of summer sports camps across England for children from age 5 to 19 in his spare time.
He is motivated through his passion for teaching, more so with pupils who desire to be taught. He sees his role as fulfilled when learners no longer need him, they have taken the tools and skills he has provided them with and are ready for their next challenge. One thing that makes Nick tick is the connection between him and his learners, the thought that he himself is still a learner and sometimes it is the children who educate him.
Nick's life revolves around sport and competitiveness, life is competitive and it is a streak he seeks to instil in his learners. He is not just preparing his learners for the next year; he is preparing them for life.
Nick's biggest inspiration in life is his younger brother, growing up he saw Nick as his father figure and so Nick put it upon himself to be the role model, to show his brother the expectations in life and to demonstrate a correct attitude and a persona for success.
