Robots and Humans
I’ve dedicated my career to improving young peoples’ intelligence only to discover that the future is in fact not real intelligence at all, but the artificial type. It’s a little disheartening if I’m honest, not that AI has been created, but at how quickly the human race seems to have given up on itself in the race against the robots. It is 26 years since the Deep Blue computer beat Gary Kasparov at chess, at which point the end of the world for humans was confidently predicted, but here we still are with our opposable thumbs and a pretty well-honed survival instinct.
