BSME Dance Festival 2023

This weekend, is the celebration of the BSME Dance Festival 2023 at Cranleigh School. This year the BSME theme is ‘A Night at The Movies’.

BIS Abu Dhabi will be performing a dance called ‘The Swimmers’ based on the real-life story of Syrian sisters who fled their country. They became refugees, took a boat to Europe and one of them reached the Olympics in 2016. The BSME Dance group have been inspired by this story to capture the crossing of the ocean in a dinghy to create a powerful and moving dance. We wish the dancers a fun weekend of dance styles during their workshop opportunities in African, Breaking, Hip Hop. Jazz, and Contemporary dance along with a successful group performance.
