Meet Ricky, who works at Fortune Properties, the company looking after BIS Abu Dhabi facilities:

 

I’m Ricky Bingayan, Facilities Engineer at Fortune Properties. I work in the Business Support Facilities (BSF) Department, and I have been working there for almost 6 years.

Where is “home” for you?  A place where me and my family stay together in harmony.
 
What brought your family to Abu Dhabi? It is well known as a land of opportunity!
 
Tell us something that few people know about you:  I am from the Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2005, from the Technological Institute of the Philippines. Being a Facilities Engineer in BIS Abu Dhabi, it is my responsibility to ensure that all systems are in good condition, to rectify all proactive and reactive requests, event set-up and to ensure the safety of all students from parking, gates, corridors and classrooms. It is also my duty to manage all new projects related to building facilities such as refurbishments and constructions. 
 
What is your favourite thing about being a part of the BIS Abu Dhabi community?  The feeling of belonging! I am support staff but they treat me as family through their support, kindness and understanding.
 
What tips or advice would you give to new families joining BIS Abu Dhabi?  BIS Abu Dhabi has fantastic facilities, your child will definitely have an outstanding education in a fun and safe environment. 
 
What do you enjoy most about living in Abu Dhabi?  The joy of living in such a safe environment and having the opportunities to explore the UAE and learn about all the different cultures from the people that live here. 
 
Anything else you would like to share? I am so happy to be a part of BIS Abu Dhabi team.
