Five Day Schedule

Driven by our mission “ to engage students in a balanced program that offers opportunities for social, physical, emotional, artistic, and intellectual development” we have a five-day schedule. This schedule is ideal for student learning as it provides the right balance of time between specialists lessons and academic learning in homeroom classes.  It also designates a time each day to promote student wellbeing.

Sample Primary Student Schedule:

Primary Schedule

Classroom Schedule

On Mondays, school gates open to students at 9:30 and students report to classrooms at 9:50. This allows for our teachers to engage in continual professional development from 7:30-9:30 every Monday. The purpose of professional development is to ensure the most current and effective teaching and learning is taking place in all of our classrooms.

On Tuesday-Friday, school gates open to students at 7:30 and students report to classrooms at 7:50.

Supervision is provided when the gate opens each morning until the gate closes at 3:30 each afternoon. Classes are dismissed at 3:00 pm.  After School Activities begin at 3:00 and end at 4:00.

Well Being

All classrooms in primary begin with a morning meeting, aimed at promoting social and emotional development of our students.

Each day, students receive instruction in literacy, mathematics and the units of inquiry. They also attend additional language classes three times per week. Throughout the week, students attend music, art, PE, and swimming.
