Hannah Gaffney

Hannah

Grade 1 Teacher

Hannah Gaffney trained as a teacher in the UK, with the University of Worcester. She completed the practical part of her training in Birmingham, and the surrounding area, before completing her Newly Qualified Teacher (“NQT”) year in central Birmingham.

  • BSc Psychology, University of Bedfordshire, UK
  • PGCE, University of Worcester, UK

After qualifying as a teacher and completing her NQT year, Hannah continued to teach in Birmingham, before working in schools near London. After being offered the opportunity to teach internationally, she spent three months teaching in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, before settling in Bahrain, where she has taught for the past two years in Year 3.

She has a wide range of teaching experience, working full time in Years 1, 3 and 6, but has experienced teaching in all KS1 and KS2 year groups during training and supply work.

Hannah is married to her long term partner, who is also living and working in Phnom Penh. It has long been an aspiration of theirs to live and work in South East Asia and they are excited about the work and travel opportunities Cambodia offers.
